Hannah and Jenn’s Dirt and Luge Training Complete

Now we can finally start riding together. All they need now is seat (and pan) time. Jenn’s strengths seem to be dirt, Hannah’s luge and now Kalish is getting really good at luge. Better than I expected after her run at Palomar. She was drafting a bike! But more on that later. We are in the market for two more dirtbikes 125 and above. Although I am wanting a larger bike now lol.

Hannah is in the practice leathers now; Her and Jenn’s leathers are almost finished. Neither have their own sled right now so we are using both of mine. Well, actually Shawn’s is the blue and white and mine is the black and pink. We need to get them their own wedge helmets now and sleds. But each sled is about 1400 a pop. Can’t wait until the other sled manufacturer goes into production, maybe we can afford it. Although mine got rolled over by the chase vehicle and it is perfectly fine. Wish I could afford three more TRS sleds for the girls though.

Hannah Learns to Dirtbike

So, we finally got Hannah out on one of the TTRs today. This time Shawn taught her, which he teaches way better than I do. He went through all of the steps and she did very well. When Kalish learned I essentially threw her in gear, put her on it, told her how to shift and brake and said “have fun!” Shawn actually got out the cones and made Hannah ride in small circles and figure eights and the then back brake sliding and all.

Anyway, Hannah had a lot of fun and I think she only crashed once…

Practice Hill (30 MPH)

Got Kalish on a sled today! She did fabulously. She is a real natural and loved it. The practice leathers were way too large on her, however, lol. We started calling her DP, but as soon as she gets her custom leathers in, that won’t apply. I told her not to stand next to me once she gets them. She will make me look fat. Bitch.

Intermediate Hill (50 MPH)

We did a few hills around the house. The new blacktop on a private hill we were going to use was littered with slurry. We would have been sweeping all day. So we took off to the Intermediate hill (above). I think she is ready to do CK the next time out for sure!

Had some fun on the dirtbikes today. We must have hit the TTR track for at least 3 hours today and we’re exhausted! Only had a few spills, can’t wait to get the other girls ou here. Time for some fun! Plus it is great for cardio, hehe.
